Dr. Winn Meredith
Dr. Winn Meredith is a full-service Optometrist at Heber Springs Eye Care Center. A native of Arkansas, he grew up in a small town outside of Jonesboro. He began his academic career at Arkansas State University where he received a BS in Biology and a minor in chemistry. While in college, Dr. Meredith shadowed multiple eye care providers where he realized his passion for eye care.
Following college, Dr. Meredith attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. While at Southern College of Optometry, he received training in many areas concerning the visual system. Dr. Meredith’s training includes management of ocular diseases, such as: diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eyes, and cataracts. He also has training in ophthalmic lenses and contact lenses, including: toric, multifocal, and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Meredith is also trained in the management of pre and post-operative cataract and corneal/refractive surgery.
While attending optometry school, Dr. Meredith served as a member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists where he cared for patients in third world countries through mission trips. Dr. Meredith also served as a Class Representative at Southern College of Optometry. During clinical training, he received an Outstanding Clinician Award for his approach to patient care. Dr. Meredith practices with his patients’ best interests at the forefront of his care.
Dr. Meredith is a member of the American Optometric Association, Arkansas Optometric Association, AOA infantSEE, and a participant in Brandon Burlsworth Eyes of a champion program. Dr. Meredith regularly attends continuing education courses to ensure his patients receive the most up to date diagnostic and treatment strategies. Outside of treating his patients, Dr. Meredith enjoys spending time with family, attending church, hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. He and his wife, Dr. Alley Meredith, love their Heber Springs community and are proud to call it home.
